Business Development Manager DACH

Do you have a passion for art, design and technology? Are you a strong communicator, organized, ambitious and speak German fluidly? We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of the DACH region for Tapart.

About Tapart

We are a creative tech agency specializing in digital storytelling. We help clients to convey their stories through digital channels. Enhancing experiences in the visitor economy.

Our clients range from world-renowned museums to local cultural institutions, including The British Museum in London, SAMoCA in Saudi Arabia, Van Gogh Europe, and Wereldmuseum.

We design and develop fully bespoke digital solutions for web, mobile and installations. In addition we design, develop and maintain a product portfolio with a suite of storytelling products as software-as-a-service (SaaS).

About the role

In this role, you'll help Tapart to build its client base in the DACH region. By actively engaging with potential clients in the visitor economies. You can effortlessly understand clients' needs and identify business and partnership opportunities. You'll work closely with our creative teams to align client needs with relevant service and/or product offerings. Translating these into proposals and presenting them with clarity and confidence.

We value long-term relationships with clients, and have an extremely good reputation in being a reliable and professional partner. You are expected to have a strong focus on delivering real, actionable solutions to clients. Emphasising long-term relationships and value beyond immediate sales.

You will be Tapart's first BDM in the DACH region and report directly to the Managing Director at Tapart. Together you will set measurable sales targets. We'll give you freedom to develop and build a growth strategy to drive new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Create and implement sales strategies
  • Develop a strong sales pipeline to drive business growth for the DACH region
  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Leverage network and industry connections to expand Tapart's reach
  • Identifying client needs and market opportunities
  • Writing and pitching proposals for potential clients
  • Actively search for, and participate in, tender opportunities
  • Reporting progress to Tapart's management

What you bring

  • You speak English and German fluently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Experience in the visitor economy (for example: museums, heritage sites, destination marketing organisations)
  • Experience in business development and building relationships with clients and partners
  • Passionate, driven and confident personality
  • Passion for providing real solutions to client, not just making sales
